Today 2 main events took place at the centre. Firstly, for those who are not aware, there is a visiting monk at the centre, Ven Balacitta.
 Bhante took a bus from Kota Bahru, Kelantan and arrived at the centre late on Saturday night . A few PHBS members were there to see to Bhante's arrival and also to see that Bhante was comfortably settled in at the centre.

Bhante's presence will be a good opportunity for those wishing to do Dana. Hope devotees of Putra Heights will seize this chance of doing good , make offerrings. Please take note also that Bhante's dana is exceptionally early at 9.30am. This is because he takes only ONE meal a day.

Next event, is a Dhamma Sharing by Bro Merlin Choo. Topic of the day is'Filial Piety"

It is truly an enlightening talk to those present today. Bro Merlin Choo has a different approach. His set induction is his many video clips. Nevertheless it is no ordinary video, each video is very touching and even he himself was so moved to tears, let alone the audience. Video clippings showing how one treats one's parents in their twilight years really make us reflect upon our life and how much that we, as responsible children, have given back to our parents.Thought provoking indeed. As a practising Buddhist , looking after one's parents is the most meritorious act.

Take a minute to ponder on this, because patricide and matricide is not merely killing physically, but also mental and verbal. Instances like many who has got forgotten about theirs parents and those who have never ever said any good about their parents. 

This is the season of festive joy, giving and receiving becomes part and parcel of the festivity.
